Little Feet
Well, we've discovered the one thing that Sophie did get from me...my small feet (everything else is a clone of her father!!!). That's probably the one thing that I would have not wished on her! We're already having a hard time finding shoes for her. When she was born, however, her feet were HUGE!! We laughed because we had no idea where those big ol' things came from. I've joked that I don't think Sophie's feet has grown since she was born because they look so small now. Well, I decided to do a little experiment...I put her feet up to her prints from the hospital. I was correct her feet haven't grown! Which should tell you just how big they looked compared to her itty, bitty body! Check out the pictures below...

Kissing Machine
While we were eating dinner last night Sophie was playing with her doll. Let me re-phrase that...she eating her babydoll like it was icecream. It was the funniest thing. Of course when we broke out the camera she stopped. She still does it a little bit, but nothing like she was. She was going to town before!

Sarah is in town again
I love having Sarah in town for tons of reasons! One of them being she always gets such great pictures of Sophie. Here are some from her trip this time.
Playing with her best friend, Butterfly

Her hair is growin' real good!

I LOVE this sweet picture!!

Her 2nd trip to the pool (We forgot to take pictures of the first time, this is why Sarah needs to live near us)

Hehe, I love how she is busting out of this bathing suit!...It is 3-6 months, she's only 4 :0)

The only thing she got from me...her feet :0).

April 29, 2008...a day that will live in Infamy...or at least in the Quesenberry Home
This day a year ago I found out that I was pregnant with Sophie. What a life changing day!!! Never did I think that test would be positive. And let me tell you I went through every emotion possible with in those first few seconds, ha! What a wonderful blessing I was given (or more accurately, found out) that day!
It is also Sophie's four month birthday is today! She was born 8 months to the day that I found out I was pregnant. I thought that was pretty interesting. Joe not so much. Maybe it's a girl/boy thing, ha!
HAPPY FOUR MONTHS TO THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE WORLD!!

Bath Time...
Sophie LOVES taking a bath. She'll kick and kick. I swear this is what she did in my stomach...or at least it felt like she was :0)!

Most popular names...
Ugh...I have had Sophia picked out for my little girl for FOREVER!! Way before it became popular. One of the reasons I liked it so much was because it was different. I didn't want my daughter to have to experience the five million Sophia's in her class as I did (I obviosly experienced it with Sara though :0).) Well, I messed that one up. Sophia was the second most popular girl's name in 2008. THE SECOND MOST POPULAR NAME...oh geez! And to add to it my ALL TIME FAVORITE boy's name, Jackson, is number 6. I have had that name picked for as long as I can remember. (I got it from my favorite movie, Steel Magnolias - Shelby's husband and son were named Jackson) I love it because it is such a strong southern name. And to be quite honest, I'm still going to name my son Jackson if we have one just because I am so in love with that name! In fact, we were going to name the baby Jackson Paul if she would have been a boy. Paul comes from my great grandfather - my mom's grandfather. I never met him, but from what I hear he was such an example to those around him. Plus, I would like to honor MY grandfather, and we already have two boys in the family named after him so I thought I would go with his dad's name instead. I'm also going to name my next daughter - if we have one - after my grandmother. I'm thinking Audrey Fae - my grandmother's name is Nellie Fae. I can't really go with Nellie because I think of Nellie on "Little House on the Prairie" and I think that we could all agree that little brat has ruined that name for anyone, ha! We are not settled on Audrey because of the quesenberry, but our last name has so many syllables in it that you kind of lose that they both have "y" on the end. We'll see. Obviously, we are in no rush to be naming another child!! Geez, this is why I can't sleep at night. I start off thinking about one thing and it leads to another. I end up thinking about something totally irrelevant to what I was thinking in the first place. This is what happens when I "free" write. I'm sure my teachers loved in when I was in school, ha!...now I'm off to clean the bath rooms. Let me just add that I'm very happy with how the new cleaning system is going. I am proud to say that the house has stayed very neat since I have started it. (I'm proud because that hasn't been the case since Sophie was born...it is an accomplishment for me! I'm learning to balance things...YAY!)

Growing up so fast
Sophie started on rice cereal this week. Eating has never been a problem for her. She LOVES it. With in the hour of her being born she was eating, ha! She didn't have a problem latching/sucking and she didn't have a problem with swallowing the rice. Of course, some of it came out as she was eating it, but my mom says that's to be expected. You'll see in the pictures that her little face is covered with rice cereal.

There are a few things that Sophie has started doing that is precious/hilarious/scary:
1. Talking - she has started talking and hasn't stopped...wonder where she gets that from :0). Joe says that he is surrounded by talking women, ha! Every morning for the last couple of days I have been woken up by her talking. I will walk in there and she'll be examining her hands while talking to them. She'll spot me and give me the biggest grin! I LOVE it...these are the most precious moments of being a mom!! I always hoped that Sophie would be a morning person because I am. Mornings are when I'm my most cheerful (which some people may find annoying if they aren't morning people :0)!) and it seems that this is true for Sophie as well.
2. Playing - she is so playful and social. I love it until it's time for her to go to bed or take naps. Like her ol' mom she doesn't like to miss a thing and finds it's problematic to sleep if there are things going on around her. She doesn't like to miss a thing. She has a butterfly on her activity mat that I think she considers her best friend :0). (Good job, Dad, at discovering this) Anytime someone will grab the butterfly she'll grab it too as if saying, "Excuse me, that's mine".
3. Eating her hands - she definitely has discovered her hands. She LOVES shoving them in her mouth...as far as she can. A couple of times she has gagged herself. This is what is scary. Now I've had to watch her closely so that I can catch her before this happens.
