I'm here, I'm here

Our computer is on the fritz sooo we have been with out one for weeks now while ours is getting fixed...BOO! My father is visiting this weekend so I'm taking the opportunity to use his computer to do some updating! Since there is SOOOO much to tell I will use pictures because let's be honest most people are not coming to read my writings....they're coming to see the adorable face of Sophie Grace :).

Here Sophie is looking much like Nellie Fae (my grandmother - and as close to a Saint as you'll find!! Especially for putting up with Marcus for as long as she as ;)...J/K, Pappy, I love you dearly!) I couldn't find Sophie's shoes so her dress ones just had to do! She does look mighty fancy! And her bow is somewhere among the mulch where she threw it. She's getting quite the arm for throwing those bows :).
Oh, Emma and Sophie had the BEST time together and were each other's constant companion!! They were just like real sisters...loving each other one second and fighting the next :). Emma even protected Sophie from a crazy child at the play ground. Such a great big "sister"!! Here the girls are giving Sophie a bath from the fountain in my Aunt's living house! I can hear the gasps of mothers now for letting my child play in fountains but my response to that is, "Choose your battles!" and this wasn't going to be one of them :). Plus they were having too much fun and weren't hurting anything!

This child is such a hoot!! She had me cracking up the WHOLE time! You never knew what she was going to come up with...like the lil' get up below!

So much spunk! Talk about the mirror of her Momma...it's like looking at my sissy!

Sophie is learning to feed herself using utensils...Lord, Lord, Lord has it been an experience! I think this child has taken more bathes in the last week than she has her entire life. (not really :)...)

After being around her cousin Emma she wants to be such a BIG girl so her sippy just is not cutting anymore
She FINALLY let me paint her toe nails.

Eating some left over PB from some cookies I was making.
I mentioned her being like Nellie Fae, well, here is another example...this girl LOVES her some jewelry!! After each bracelet she would put on she would say, "Oh pretty"
Trying out the new rug for her room. She does not have a shirt one because she was trying on clothes. The child may be the spitting image of her daddy but she does have some of her Momma in her! She LOVES to change outfits 20 times a day...even at 15 months.

Here she is being such a good momma and taking her baby for a stroll!!
Sophie has just blossomed in the past three weeks! She is SO SO SO much fun!! And talk about sass...this girl has got the overload of it! As my dear friend, Erica, said today...you got what you wished for. Well, Sophie's sass can get her in trouble real quick! This 15 month old can give me looks like she is going on 15 yrs! And, Lord have mercy, she thinks she can charm her way out of anything...and she can! Except it doesn't work on her ol' Momma here! I can tell already that teenage years are going to be fun, ha! She is sweet as sugar though! For every ounce of sass, she has the sweetness to match it!
She is walking all over the place and talking up a storm. If the child is awake you can bet she's talking! I guess another trait she inherited from her momma, ha!

Hello Kentucky...AGAIN!

Sophie and I are scheduled to fly out this afternoon to Kentucky again. This time it is to see my sister! Her husband is doing a 3 week work trip to Belgium so she is coming to KY...YAY! If you think of it say a quick prayer for her because traveling that far with a 22 month old can be very exhausting...for both of them :)! Also say a prayer for Sophie and I as we have been battling the flu - I think - since this weekend. I would not be going except Allegiant Airlines isn't willing to work with me. I would pretty much either have to count my loss or buy a new ticket. Being the stubborn person that I am I refuse to do either of those since they will bring no positive outcomes! So I am going to brave the hr and half flight and PRAY that I'm not a complete moron for doing this. I'm also farely certain that they people with in range of me would appreciate that I stay home. Sorry, folks, I am really am! But I love my sister too much and this is the only way I will be seeing her for at least a year so...I'm leaving on the jet plane!

Let me just give a quick shout out to my FABULOUS husband!! This flu bug hit me out of no where! I literally was feeling fine and the next minute I felt horrible!! That was Saturday night. Let me also mention that Sophie had been feeling yucky Saturday as well. Trying to take care of her took everything out of me! I was zapped! Not only did Joe get up with Sophie during the night Sunday, but he also stayed home from work on Monday!! I woke up to Sophie crying and was literally praying that God would give me the strength to get out of bed and not fall because my body felt like pure jello! That's when I heard Joe's voice! Talk about relief!!! He had gotten up with her earlier with out me even asking him to and called into work. He took care of her all day so that I could stay in bed!! Thank you SO VERY MUCH, Joe!!! You're my hero ;)!
