Say Cheese!

I have realized that I am not taking nearly as many pictures of Sophie as I should be!! So I made it my goal to change that. I did really well on Monday and Tuesday, but have slacked a little the rest of the week. I'll try to do better!

I am blessed because Sophie is great at playing by herself! As long as she is in the room with me she is fine! It is nice because usually I can get things done while she plays away. Anywho...on Monday I was cleaning the kitchen when my "Mommy Ears" picked up on the fact that Sophie was way too quiet. I turned around and this is what I saw...

Apparently she was hungry...those are mini pitas that she was eating...or better yet going to town on!
I guess she got thirsty and went to get her juice to complete her snack!

The rest of these I took on Tuesday...love those chubby cheeks!

Mommy and Sophie! Praise the Lord, I'm going blonde again tomorrow! Can you hear the angels rejoicing ;)!

Playing bashful!
She is such a joyful person! I don't think anyone can help but smile when these see this sweet smile!!

Well, I guess that is it for now...my precious child is upstairs "woofing" away that she is awake and ready to play :).

Please see the post below to explain these pictures :)...

The before...

And the after....

Seeing the mine compared to the other makes me a little sad...oh well :)!

Let's talk tables...

If only I could describe the anguish that went into the table in Sophie's room. My mother and I looked FOR HOURS before Sophie was born looking for that perfect table...with no luck! Finally we decided to get one of those cheap, wood tables that you put together and get a super cute table cloth to go over it. Not too hard, right?! Umm...NO! We seriously spent an entire day dedicated to finding this forsaken table cloth. No, I probably should confess that I had a specific idea in mind and when I get an idea stuck in my head I'm not happy until I have THAT. I don't even remember now what the idea was so it obviously wasn't that spectacular of an idea :). Anywho...we ended up having to cut Sophie's curtains to get the length that we wanted so we just used the left over material to make a table cloth. Worked great until I noticed the thing was covered in stains. I'm assuming that the stains were from me putting bottles, meds, etc when needed on it. Well, I washed it and then dried it...BIG mistake - I know...y'all probably saw that one coming :). Ok, this post is getting a little too detailed about a table so I'll get on with my point :)....

Sarah (Corder) Holland sent me a picture of a table that she thought would be cute in Sophie's room. I fell in love at first sight! And let me just say that most things creative that you see me do probably was Sarah's idea. That girl is fabulous with anything fun! I wish I could steal some of her creative powers :). The picture above is what she sent me. Please don't judge my table after seeing this one, ha! I'm not one for krafty things. I LOVE it, but never can seem to find the patience or focus to actually do them. That is going to change though and this was my first project.
I'm also going to get Sarah to give me a crash course in blogging because I can't ever seem to get things right with my pictures. It's so frustrating!! Anywho...I'll do a separate post for the pictures of my table.

A girl with moves

This is just another video of Sophie dancing...which she does often! BTW...I promise I do put clothes on her! She rarely ever is wearing just a diaper and it seems that I capture all of these times :).

Blue Moon of Kentucky Keep on Shinin'

Sophie and I just got back from Kentucky. It was a spur of the moment trip that I decided to take when I found tickets for $9.99. The whole trip seemed to be a little gift from God from the ticket price to Momma having most of the days off due to snow!

Here is a summary of our trip..

Sophie is such a little momma! She wasn't happy until she was rocking ALL the animals!
Momma got us tickets to ESPN's Game Day at Rupp Arena!! It was SO MUCH FUN!!! "Kentuckyians" are VERY serious about their basketball!
Such a great Mother/Daughter day!! Thanks, Momma!

It snowed pretty much the entire time we were there!!

We rarely took Sophie out since she was just getting over a bad cold/flu, but we did have to show her the snow at least once. The poor child was so bundled up that she couldn't even sit up by herself.

My Uncle and I are always trying to find good burgers and fried mushrooms. I guess you can say it's our thing! Who knew we would find the BEST cheeseburger EVER at the local Country Club...also, who knew the local Country Club would be a pub :) This is my Aunt Darlene. Sophie ADORES her!

Aunt Darlene got a bulls eye...Yeah!

Sophie and I getting ready to come home :(

This picture will make Pappy (my grandfather) proud! He recently got out of raising thoroughbreds for racing so he has had his share of dealing with jockeys.

Expensive taste you say?!

So I was browsing these shoes on ebay today when...

When THIS child...
BOUGHT them!! Don't ask me how in the world she did it because I DON'T know!! All I know was I was looking at the shoes while trying to keep Sophie off the computer and then receiving an invoice for them. Thank God there were NOT that expensive AND BRAND NEW!! One MAJOR problem....I don't even wear a 6....I wear a 3 in kids. No joke. Sometimes, maybe I can stuff enough toilet paper in them to wear them, but not likely with this pair! Looks like one of my size 6 friends will be getting a nice Christmas present, ha! And that Sophie will not be allowed with in 6 feet of the computer!

Just like Mommy

I think this video is priceless...Sophie was trying her darnedest to get these shoes on, ha! Bless her heart, she was having a time! My favorite part is when she actually lifts her foot to try and place it in the shoe! Please excuse her lack of clothes. I typically do not let her run around with out any clothes on, but she has been horribly sick - which I'll expand on in another blog.
