Baby Q

Yesterday I had my first doctor's appointment for Baby Q. For a brief second while they were doing the pregnancy test I thought, "What if I'm not actually pregnant??" Which was so silly to even question! The test confirmed that I was indeed pregnant :)! She said everything was great and check out with 8 weeks. I go back in 2 weeks for some blood work and hopefully an ultrasound, Yay! I'm DYING to see this lil' peanut! I've been feeling pretty good! I have a little sickness here and there, but nothing bad! Oh and pregnancy exhaustion is in FULL swing!! Here is Sophie waiting oh so patiently, and I might add looking oh so Joe like, during my appointment.

Wait, Be Patient, and Have Faith

Wait, be patient, and have faith...not the most desirable things to have to do! I don't know about y'all, but these things are HARD for me! I'm very much a planner so I like to know the when, how, where, what, etc. God is showing me - over, and over, and over - that sometimes I don't need to know these things. I just need to wait, be patient, and have faith that He IS WORKING and He DOES have a plan! Even if I don't see it. Joe and I are in a place where we want to move on. We know that God doesn't mean for us to stay in Plant City forever and WE are READY NOW. However, apparently GOD is not. Which really means that we aren't ready either, right :)!? I know that when God does decide to move us that it will be the best possible situation for us! Every once in a while I get a little antsy though. FYI - if you notice that I start changing my blog background a lot you'll know that I'm getting antsy again, ha! Don't know why the two of these go hand and hand. Anyhoo...I follow this blog called "Pearls and Grace". http://pearlsandgrace.blogspot.com/2010/05/sound.html (I'm not sure how to do the cool linking where the entire link doesn't show up, Sorry!) I LOVE that blog name and when I came across it I was instantly drawn to it :)! Mrs. Pearl, as she calls herself, recently wrote a post on waiting. It was so refreshing to read it! And exactly what I needed to hear. The post is actually about the pain that couples feel when waiting to have a baby, but really it could fit any waiting game you're going through. Go on over and check it out! Hopefully it helps someone like it did me!

Potty Training??

Oh Lord, I think it may be that time. I'm not sure why but this thought scares the mud out of me! Sophie is showing a lot of signs that she is ready, but am I, ha?! I thought that she was too young, but Momma said that my sister started at this age and was potty trained by 18 months. I started earlier than 2 as well, but not sure the exact age. I've bought Sophie a potty and I'm going to take her today to get some big girl panties. Once we start if she doesn't seem to be ready we'll stop and try again in a couple of months. How incredible would it be if she were potty trained before the baby is here?? That's NOT my motivation though, she's showing signs that she's ready, it would just be a blessing!

Pregnancy #2

There are definitely some noted differences in my pregnancies already! Some good, some bad. Some I freak out about and others I welcome!
We'll start with the pros:
1. A LOT more energy with than with Sophie
2. The cleaning bug as hit me and I clean, clean, clean. Where as with Sophie, housework was the LAST thing I wanted to think about!
3. Being able to share it with Sophie. Even if she doesn't really grasp the fact that her world is about to be changed forever!

Cons:
1. Umm, hello, I knew I would show quicker this time around, but this is ridiculous! I look like I did when I was 10-13 weeks with Sophie. Really didn't expect that! I think because it took SOOO long for me to even get a little bulge with Sophie that I thought it would be similar. Not true though!
2. Cramping ALL THE TIME! It's worried me a little bit actually!
3. Hips feeling achy already
4. I've been more emotional in the 6 weeks of this pregnancy than I was in the ENTIRE 9 months with Sophie...Yikes! Say a little prayer for Joe, ha! I seriously cried at a commercial this morning.

I would LOVE to hear any feedback from mommas that have had more than one baby. Is this normal?! Please tell me I'm not alone in this :)!

Because I realized a blog with out pictures is no fun...Here are some pictures of us from Joe's graduation from University of South Florida with his Masters in Business. Yay, Joe!! I'm very proud to call you my husband! You work so hard for us and I am grateful for you!

Look closely and you'll see the "bulge" that I'm talking about! Please excuse my hair! The Florida humidity is never kind to it!

I'll throw this one in because I think he is so handsome! I'm one lucky gal :)!

Pink or Blue???

This little girl....

Is going to be....
A BIG SISTER!!!!

We're happy to announce that Baby Q will be making an arrival sometime around 1.5.2011 and we couldn't be more excited!! I found out last Friday while I was still in Kentucky! Joe was convinced I was pregnant, but I officially told him on Saturday when he picked us up at the airport! Momma made Sophie a "Big Sister" shirt and we showed Joe as soon as we saw him! The picture is a dramatic reenactment of when he read her shirt, ha!
FYI...Sophie's due date was 1.4.2009 :). I guess we like those Christmas babies, ha! We were going to start officially trying in the summer so that we wouldn't have a Christmas baby, but I guess God had a different plan :)! We are just so thrilled!!

Sophie's Birthday Pictures

Sarah Corder Holland finished the pictures that she took at Sophie's birthday party. Yes, they're a little late, BUT I really don't care when you got them to me, girlfriend!! I'm just thankful that you take/edit them period!! Sarah always captures the moments instead of the "posing" which is why I think that she is one of the best photographers. Photography seems to be the going hobby these days, but few actually posses the natural talent that Sarah has! If you're in the Lexington or Chattanooga area and need a good photographer she's your gal! Check her work out on her website www.sarahhollandphotography.com .

The link below is a shortcut to the pictures for my family that doesn't have facebook. Hopefully it works!
