Baby Q

Yesterday was my first appointment at my new doctors. I am so, so, so thankful that I switched!! Although I love my previous doctors, their staff was less desirable! They weren't very helpful and when I would finally break down and HAVE to ask them for something - because I'll be honest, they made me nervous, ha! - they would act like I was asking them to fly to the moon or something because of the inconvenience! The staff yesterday made me feel so welcome and were very kind!

I was excited at the possibility of hearing the heartbeat, but they told me that I was actually going to see the baby! Seeing this baby was much more emotional then with Sophie! I think because with Sophie I anticipated every little thing! I wouldn't be able to sleep the night before my ultrasounds with her because I was so excited. Well, this baby has been some what on the back burner. I just don't have the time to think about it like I did with Sophie because I'm chasing after Sophie all day :)! So to see the baby yesterday moving with such life brought tears to my eyes! It was most perfect little being! As soon as the doctor put the wand on my stomach we immediately saw this baby shaking it's little hiney like crazy! The baby was just perfect and VERY active! The doctor thinks that it is a boy. She told me not to go painting any rooms just yet because it is still pretty early. The baby gave us a perfect shot and I could have sworn I saw some parts!! I didn't say anything because the doctor wasn't and she obviously has more experience than I do! Eventually she said, "I think I see some parts! BUT it could be the cord." My family is beyond excited at the possibility of a boy! My grandparents have 6 great grand daughters so they're thinking it's about time for a boy! I have another ultrasound on Monday that will be more in depth so we'll see if they can give us something a little more concrete! Until Monday :)...

Talking Tuesdays

Well, I'm sitting here at 4am wide awake! This seems to be happening a lot lately! I've researched a bit and they say that it is normal for pregnant women to have trouble sleeping. Something about hormones making your mind more easily stimulated. (Cue in my child who will wake up to have a conversation with herself and then go back to sleep yet has woken me up and I can't got back to sleep, ha!) Anywho...so here I am blogging at an hour that I'm sure God doesn't even like - kidding! I've decided to do a "Talking Tuesday" where I'll blog - really record - what Sophie has said during the week. I've done a terrible job of remember all the cute and amazing things that come out of her mouth so this way I'll always have a record of it! She's discovering the world and it is hilarious to watch! She brings such joy! I'll wrap this up now and onto the "talkings" of the week! Since this is my first week I'll just highlight some of the basics!

-1,2,3

-A,B,C

-Eye, nose, mouth (She doesn't seem to be concerned about the other body parts like ear, hair, etc)

-She says the names of every one she's close to (Mommy, Daddy, Nan, Aunt Dean, Aunt Sissy, etc, etc)

-Doggie (if you get called Doggie know that you are loved! She reserves that for only her most beloved of things! That, or she sees a doggie which she can spot or hear up to half a mile away!)

-She has put a lot of sentences together, but I can't remember most of them. Here are a few: Where is Sophie? Here I am; Mommy, come get me; There you are (when she find someone/something she was looking for); I go see (insert person she's going to see)

-She definitely has the word "NO" down pat, ha!

I realize these posts are going to be pretty boring for everyone except the grandparents and aunts! Sorry! It's just such a great way for me to remember every funny thing she has done! I've already forgotten most of them!

Well, that's all I can think of right now, and I'm getting sleep so I'm going to go try to hit the sack again!

**I actually waited until I was awake and coherent enough to post this! Didn't want to embarrass myself :)

The simple things in life!

This past week Sophie and I went to North Florida for my cousin's graduation and to help my grandmother get ready for his party. It's always so wonderful to be around family, but for a couple days after we leave I always feel a bit blue! So I decided to write a blog of things that always serve as a cheer me up :)!

Ice cream! The perfect treat for a hot Florida afternoon!

Cookies! Yum!

Honeysuckle - reminds me of Spring in the South! As Anne from Anne of Green Gables said, I "just drink them in!"

Thunderstorms! Some may think I'm a bit crazy for this, but I love thunderstorms! Perfect weather to curl up on the couch and read a book!

The beach!
Pink nail polish always makes the "yuckies" go away!

Guilty Pleasures

Ok, I have to admit that I LOVE watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey! I haven't gotten into the other Real Housewives, but I've fallen in love with the NJ women! Well, most of them! There is one that I think is just plain off her rocker! But, hey, there has to be one to keep the watchers on their toes, right?? I find it interesting that I like these women so much! I mean we're as different as lets say, north and south :)! I just love how they "momma" their families!! From what I see it's all about their family and I love that!! Finally a show where family is first! I also love that they're not afraid to keep each other accountable! They're just so much fun to watch!
