I decided to try this whole blogging thing out. Mostly because my sister lives in California and it is a great way for us to see the babies! Plus, the more I "investigate" the more people I find out are one here! I'm not really a "writer" so you might have to bear with me. I tend to ramble on and say what I feel instead of using grammatically correct statements. I will, however, try to keep these ramblings to a minimum. So here is the update on our life so far...
Joe and I are expecting our first child in January. If the baby comes on our due date we will be one week away from our year anniversary. Way to celebrate, huh? It was a bit of a shock to find out that I was pregnant, but we could not have been more excited!! All I have ever wanted to be is a mom. To me this is such a powerful calling. One that can seem very daunting at times! I feel very blessed because I will be staying home with our baby. I am so grateful to have a husband that sees the importance of this and is willing to sacrifice and work hard to make this happen! It is the most wonderful feeling to be pregnant - minus the exhaustion that I am convinced can only be truly understood by those who have gone through it themselves! Not to leave out the frequent trips to the bathroom! Which they say gets better in your second trimester. Let me just tell you...it doesn't! Overall I've had an amazing pregnancy thus far! Everyday I think how blessed I am to experience the gift of life!
We find out what the baby is next Wednesday! I think it's a boy. I have felt it from the second I found out I was pregnant. So many women have told me that they felt that their baby was a certain sex and it turned out that they were the opposite. Needless to say this has caused me some doubt. Not too much though because there are boy clothes still taking up a good quarter of my closet (Thanks to the incredible sales of Dillards, my mother, and my best friend, Sarah Corder Holland). We will post pictures soon!
We are building a house on top of all of this too! We are still in the part of surveying, pulling permits, etc. Hopefully, they will begin on the house very soon!

I always have to laugh when I see 'Sarah Corder Holland.' Sorry I filled your closet with so much boy stuff... I will just have to replace it with all things pink! :)
