For some reason this blog would not post while I was at my mom's. I didn't feel like re-writing all the info so I'm going to do a little updating with the old updating
:0)! We are back from my mom's. The flight back went very well! Sophie slept the entire time, which was great until we got home and she was up until 12:30. I knew that Sophie had really grown while we were in KY, but I didn't realize just how much. When we got home and I started putting her in things such as her carrier or her bouncy I saw how big she has gotten! She is so much more alert...right now she is in her bouncy just looking at the flowers that hang down. I think that I'm going to see how she does with her activity blanket today (I know that's not what it's called, but I can't think of the real name :0)...).
Wow...lots to update on! We are currently in Kentucky visiting my mom. We've been here for two weeks now and we don't leave until Tuesday. Needless to say that I miss Joe something awful! He has to take two classes this quarter so I thought it would be a great opportunity to spend some time with my mom. Plus, it is nice to have some help during the nights :0)! Sophie did super on the flight up here!! At least that is what the man that sat next to me said. I was so proud of her especially given the fact that we were rushing like crazy to get to the airport!! I was doing great on time until I had to stop and pick up some medicine for Sophie which made us extremely late! I was positive that we were going to miss our flight!! I even called my mom to tell her that we were not going to make it. Traffic was horrible AND we were dead empty on gas. I was a nervous wreck the entire drive! We obviously made it, but once we arrived things didn't get much better. The lady that checked me in forgot to put on my ticket that I was traveling with a child even though I told her a thousand times not to forget. So after waiting for security I had to go back to the front to have them reprint me a ticket. All is well now though!
We thought Sophie was feeling better, but then she had a ROUGH couple of days. She was pitiful!! She would just scream out. I KNEW something was wrong because she doesn't cry! She would be smiling and then just cry out. I could tell she was in such pain! I called her doctor and he said that she might have an allergy to milk protein. He told me a special type of formula to try. I don't want to stop nursing her though so I am cutting out all diary products. Do you know what foods that cuts out...EVERYTHING practically :0)! She is on the formula for a few days to settle her stomach and give me a chance to get the milk protein out of my system. Pray that this works! I HATE seeing her in such pain!
She is getting so big! She even rolled over the other day. I was shocked!! She tried to do it again yesterday, but when she rolled there was something blocking her so she couldn't. It makes me sad because she isn't a newborn any more! Her personality is really starting to come out. She is such a happy baby!! She'll just smile and smile at me when I start talking to her! She however can get real upset if I don't feed her quickly enough. When she gets hungry she's ready to eat right then! I wonder who she gets that from :0)! She'll get her little left foot going so fast when she gets mad. It's hilarious to watch! She's been sleeping great too. The other night she slept from 9pm-5:30am. I'm really hoping she starts making this a habit
:0)!! For some reason it is not letting me download pictures, so I'll have to try again later...
