I FINALLY captured Sophie giggling! When ever she sees the camera come out she becomes mesmerized by it and will stop doing whatever it is she was doing. I hid the camera so she wouldn't see it. Once again...I'm embarrassed by my commentary.

Photo Shoot
The first two pictures are showing off her pretty dress. My father-in-laws sister got this dress for us. It is honestly one of the prettiest dresses I've seen. It is such an unusual color. I took these pictures to send to her. The last picture is showing the contraption that Aunt Arhmin and I made for Sophie. The doctor suggested keeping her elevated at night to help her breathing. She was waking up every 10-20 mins because she couldn't breathe...not fun for any of us!! Anyways...Arhmin and I came up with the idea to put her bouncy in her crib. Well, I was afraid that she would some how sling herself out of it so I decided to put pillows all around the bouncy in case she did. Let me just say that she has been sleeping GREAT since we've kept her elevated!
Here ya go, Aunt Sissy
This video is for my sister, who I call Sissy. Hence the Aunt Sissy. The name came about with out even trying. I mixed Aunt Christa and Sissy together getting Aunt Sissy. We thought it was real cute so it stuck. I just wanted to put a disclaimer out to those who wouldn't know that. My sister would not like people thinking her name is Sissy...it brings about strange images for her :0). This video would be boring to anyone, but my family! I love all her of faces in this video. She does this face where she just stares you down. It's hilarious! She has just started doing this thing after she smiles where she'll turn her head to the side as if saying, "Ah shucks."
**Pleeease excuse my commentary on this video! It is actually embarrassing! But hey, who hasn't talked like this to a baby at some point :0)!

Oh, I'm SUCH a first time mom...
I have a feeling that this is the beginning of many posts about something that Sophie has done for the first time. Forgive me...I'm a proud momma :0)! Anywho...Sophie reached for, caught, and brought something to her mouth for the first time! It is so amazing to see her coordination start developing. I could watch her for hours. She also started giggling. Unfortunately, I didn't catch this on camera. It was the most precious sound I have EVER heard! I mean today she was straight out giggling for five minutes. I have no clue what in the world she was laughing at, but it was contagious. Soon I was laughing too. Here are some pictures of her great accomplishment...The last picture is to show just how CHUBBY she is getting! As her Aunt Sissy put it, "She eats real good"! The first picture I was taking her upstairs to clean her up...she had just left a little present on daddy's pants...haha, glad it finally happened to him :0)! I've been initiated many times.

Picture Commentary
My blog is messed up and won't let me write what the pictures are so I have to do it this way...it's very annoying!
Picture 1...I just LOVE her little feet and chubby legs that I had to take a picture of just them :0)!
Picture 2...She has what I like to call a duck tail. This patch of hair on the back of her head always sticks up in the morning! LOVE it!
Picture 3...Playing in her exersaucer. She doesn't care too much for it!
Picture 4...This is Sophie's future husband! He is the SWEETEST boy I have ever met! He always rubs Sophie and sings to her! Precious!
Ok...it gets a little confusing here...
Real bad family portrait
Watching golf with Daddy
Playing with Aunt Teresa
Great Grandma
She got her shots on that day...see the band aids :(

We had such a great visit with Joe's family this past weekend (Pics to follow soon)!! We don't get to see them as much as we would like, so this was a nice treat! They are hilarious (I always admire people with a sense of humor because, unfortunately, I'm not that funny, but I wish I was)! They put this new mother right to ease the second I saw them! I am starting to look at dates to head up there since Joe's Papa was not able to come see Sophie.
My mom read me this article that she saw in a magazine about new mothers. I felt like they were telling mine and Joe's story! From being self conscience about the body that giving birth has given me to the crying in the middle of the night because I am just so tired. The article helped me realize that these feelings/emotions are experienced by most new mothers! I wish this was something that more people talked about. I knew that it was going to be an adjustment, but didn't really have an idea of what to expect. The good news is that I feel like things are getting back to normal. Well, as normal as can be with an infant :0)! I lost the cord to my camera that transfers the pictures so we will have to wait on those. Hopefully, I can figure something out soon! I keep taking pictures, but it's not really doing much good if I can't share them!

Life between the last post and now...
Sophie is doing very well with her schedule...YAY! I think it has helped that I've tried to stay home as much as possible. Before we were always on the go which didn't really give room for being on a schedule. Things are still pretty crazy. One of my very best friends, Arhmin, came to visit this past week and left yesterday. Joe's family comes today, then I am going back to KY for a little bit, and then Sarah and Blake come for a week. I'm looking forward to all our visits!
Arhmin and I had such a great time together. As we always do! Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures of our excursions because I was always forgetting and then when I remembered my camera was dead. I was so disappointed. One night we went to the historic district and walked around looking at all the old houses. I don't think there is another person out there besides Arhmin that has a love for old things like I do!! One day we are going to buy an old house and fix it up!
Yesterday we got Sophie's ears pierced. Let me tell you that I felt like a HORRIBLE mother afterward! I really tried to get all my facts, talk to people, etc and felt like it was a good idea. Well, when she started screaming I didn't think it was such a grand idea and regretted very quickly! However, the screaming only last a few seconds and was probably due more to how the guy got the gun stuck to her earring. Talk about a momma wanting to hit someone! I have to say she does look so cute and grown up! My camera was dead so we didn't get any before/during shots, but we did get some after ones...

Sophie is getting so big!! Haha...I feel like I say that every post! But she really is! She is such a fun lil' thing! I started putting her on a schedule this week. Let me just say she wants nothing to do with it! I really should've started sooner, and definitely will on our next child! She actually does great with the schedule, she however is not to happy with having to be put down for her naps! We're working on it though. Hopefully by this time next week she'll be an old pro! Here are some pictures...
